Create Bootable Ubuntu startup disk using Windows OS

Prerequisites:

Steps for Windows users:

Install Rufus software and launch the software

  • Plugin your Pendrive
  • Format the Pendrive before starting this
  • Double click on select and choose the ubuntu iso image
  • Download Ubuntu ISO image from here.
  • Keep the defaults as it is and click on Start.

Click OK and proceed

  • Make sure you have formatted your Pendrive before clicking on the process in this step.
  • And Finally, Process will be started and your Pendrive will be a bootable Ubuntu Image.
  • It will take around 3–5 minutes. Be Patient till it gets finished

To make Pendrive Unbootable

File Manager
  • Launch File manager in windows, Right-click on Bootable disk(i.e ., Pendrive), Choose Format option with the File system as FAT32.
  • Click Start and you can use your bootable disk as a Pendrive.
